Our Story

Established over 70 years ago by Charles Kureen, The Rock Shop is a family run business, set in the beautiful, sunny Isle of Wight.

The ‘Rock Shop’ name originates from when the rock was made in store during public displays as you can see below and we still have some of the original equipment in place in our Shanklin store. You can watch our in store video showing how the rock was originally made, it is fascinating watching and true to how rock is still made today.

We still maintain strong family values and we regard ourselves and our staff very much as a team that works together to bring you a wonderful selection of Rock, Sweets, Chocolates, Liquorice, Jams, Preserves, Chutneys, Gifts, Handmade items, such as Fudge, Honeycomb and our unique Isle of Wight shaped shortbread biscuits.

We also support our Island economy by stocking a range of IOW products, from Mustard, Chutneys and Salt through to Honey.

But we offer so much more, our treats have been carefully selected to satisfy even the sweetest of taste buds. We offer an extensive range including traditional, retro, pick n mix, American, vegan, sugar-free, over 15 flavours of traditional Rock
